Gabriel Stebbing | Songwriting Tutor | ICMP London

Gabriel Stebbing is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with a wealth of experience performing and composing in a wide variety of different styles and genres. He has an impressive list of credits, working with several international chart-topping acts.

Gabriel was one of the original members of the Mercury Music Prize-nominated electro-pop group Metronomy, playing bass with the group from their first record up until 2009. In that year, Gabriel left the group to concentrate on his own project Your Twenties, described by The Guardian as “the best group ever formed by a member of another act where he wasn't the main geezer”. Following Your Twenties, Gabriel went on to create NightWorks, “An 80s-obsessed guitar-pop band with electronic tendencies.” (The Independent). He has also worked extensively with the award-winning Christine & The Queens, including co-writing 2016 hit single ‘Tilted’.

More recently, Gabriel has been co-writing tracks for the debut album by London artist Ghost Culture and providing guest vocals on releases by NZCA Lines. He is currently working on the second NightWorks LP, supported by the PRS Momentum Fund.
