the world. The Institute’s central locationmeans that all our students
have the opportunity to experience every aspect of London life.
Besides having the greatest concentration of major tourist attractions
in Britain, London is one of the major international hubs of popular
music and culture. From all of the top international record labels
to world famous music venues like the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley
Arena, the 02 Arena and Abbey Road studios, music is being
performed, played and created in London every day and around
every corner.
London continues to be at the cutting edge of music, defining
popular culture throughout the world. From the celebrated locations
of Denmark Street, Soho and Camden to the up-and-coming hot
spots of East London like Shoreditch and Hackney, students have
the opportunity to learn from the past, experience the present and
help create the future of London as a music landmark and innovator.
Being located in London, the Institute is uniquely positioned for
students to develop their networks – a crucial element of commercial
and critical success – and get seen by industry insiders.
The Institute has links tomajor record labels, publishers, promoters
andmanagement companies active in London, all of which are
promoted to our students through our dedicated industry
connection, “The Hub”.
As part of all of the performance based courses, Institute students
are offered the opportunity to perform in showcases at top London
venues, which are open to the public. A&R executives and talent
scouts are invited to all of these of events and encouraged to
meet students.
