Nick Varey has had extensive experience both in the music and academic industries. After studying at LIPA (2006-2007) for a Diploma in Singing, Acting and Dance, Nick graduated from our BMus (Hons) Popular Music Performance course in 2010, which see you develop your technical performance skills to the highest level, as you gain impressive academic abilities and an entrepreneurial understanding of the music industry.

Since graduating Nick has enjoyed a career in teaching, tutoring privately at the Gary O’Toole School of Music. Over the span of his performance career, Nick has run his own bands Ivan And The Wolves, Bad Moon Band and LOWLY HOUNDS which have taken him around the UK, on three tours of South Brazil and European dates in Norway and had airplay on BBC Introducing and BBC2.

Nick’s tracks have featured on Hard Rock Cafe and LG adverts and he has played guitar, keys and performed vocals with various artists such as Eric Ness (Exmouth Festival, Fieldview Festival), AKS (Less is More Music), Phillip Morgan Lewis (Dust Track Records), Ankit Love (One Love Party) and Zoey Lilly. Nick can now be seen playing in current project LOWLY HOUNDS and is a member of funk rock pop trio Revelry. He currently composes for US based media company Overcoast.
