Darragh is a drummer from Ireland with five-piece indie rock outfit Hawke the Band and studied our MMus in Popular Music Performance during his time with ICMP.

The band has been making waves in their homeland and further afield, signing a deal with Paragon Records in 2024.

Hailed as 'the next big thing' and 'ones to watch' by Irish rock legends Aslan, the group formed behind the Guinness factory in Dublin.

Imelda May discovered the group, offered them a support slot on her Christmas special on Sky Arts, then labels became more interested.

Commenting on his time with ICMP, Darragh said: "I got to meet some really cool people when I came here from Ireland. I used to be a primary school teacher but decided to quit the job, come over and try to be a full-time musician."

I had a great time at ICMP and the people you meet is one of the main reasons you go. The facilities are second to none, as are the rehearsal spaces, studios, and staff."
