Neil Cartwright is founder and director of Million Media, a digital marketing agency working with leading companies in the music sector. It works closely with Jamiroquai, helping the band to manage their digital assets since 2005. Recently Million Media launched The Artist Network as a resource and training academy for musicians.
In 2010, Neil was named in The Observer’s ‘Future 500’ as one of the 500 people who will help shape the future of the UK. He was previously Head of New Media at Sony Music UK, responsible for negotiating the company’s first foray into digital downloads at a time when most people had never heard of an iPod. He has successfully worked with artists and managers to create some of the most innovative and effective artist websites in the world.
Neil is currently chair of a music charity called Community Music who help people from all walks of life get in to the music business. He remains a regular speaker at conferences including MIDEM (France), GoNorth, Reeperbahn (Hamburg), Les Rencontres (Canada), AIM digital day, BPI, and Popfest (Austria).
