Gábor Dörnyei | Drum Tutor | ICMP London

Gábor Dörnyei is a multi-award winning solo artist with gold and platinum selling albums. He records for the Drumeo and the Drum Channel in LA, is a Hudson Music (New York) artist, and was the drummer on Thriller Live, the Michael Jackson show and world tour, for three years.

Gábor is currently drummer with American guitarist Stanley Jordan and has shared the stage with legends such as Billy Cobham, Tommy Campbell, Jojo Mayer, Ian Paice, Steve Smith, Benny Greb, Gavin Harrison, Carl Palmer, Chris Coleman, and Dom Famularo. On the theatrical stage, he has played drums in productions of Rent, The Producers, Oliver, Les Miserables, and Chicago. His playing can be heard on over 40 CDs. Drumeo featured Gabor in their Top 10 Things We've Learned From Working With The Best  Drummers In The World by the website's founder Jared Falk. 

As the founder of Gabbey Road Studio in London, Gabor has over seventeen years experience teaching drums privately. He has held sold-out masterclasses at the LA Music Academy and major UK/EU universities.

In 2019, Gábor was chosen (out 600 artist) to be the face of Pearl Drums, one of the world's leading drum companies,  global marketing campaign for their new Eliminator RedLine Pedals.  The campaign involved a series of pedal tutorials, here's the first of the series:

Alongside teaching at ICMP, Gabor is also a Vic Firth (USA) education team member with many years of teaching experience. He's also a worldwide endorser of Pearl Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Remo Drumheads, Vic Firth Drumsticks, Roland V-Drums, Hardcase, and Kickport.
