Daryl Bär | Music Business Tutor | ICMP London

Daryl Bär has performed, promoted, produced, and managed within the music industry for over a decade. He is a graduate of London Metropolitan University’s Music Industry Management degree course.

Since 2012, Daryl has worked in A&R and artist management for boutique electronic music label Mofo Hifi (Young Punx, Bobby Tank, Alizzz) and its sister companies, including Friars Management Ltd (Howard Jones, Tom Bailey of The Thomson Twins, The Young Punx, Phonat and John B) for whom Daryl is an experienced tour manager.

He also manages electro-pop band The Penelopes who have produced remixes for Lana Del Ray, Alt J, The Ting Tings, and the Pet Shop Boys. Their remixes have been played by the likes of Rob da Bank at BBC Radio 1, Kissy Sell Out, and Eddy Temple Morris at XFM. You may have also heard their works in commercials for Perrier, Grey Goose, BPI Bank, FitBit, and in film, television and video games.

A former 35mm projectionist, Daryl is also co-host of the Sudden Double Deep podcast and a regular contributor at BattleRoyaleWithCheese.

Daryle teaches on our innovative BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship programme.
